Good Morning Reception 24.4

Good Morning Reception,
I can't believe our first week back is over already. It's gone so fast! Hope you've all been good and enjoying the lovely weather we are having. I have loved being in contact with you this week and seeing you having lots of fun at home. I have missed you lots.

Towards the end of the day I will be uploading a timetable/overview for next week so you have some structure and know what lies ahead but will also be continuing to post a more in depth daily description of activities  :)
Please continue to upload your pictures daily where possible so I can add them to our daily reflection at the end of each days blog. You can see this at https://ctkrec.blogspot.com/ and scroll down to the end of the post.

Here are your activities for the day.

P.E
Wake up with Joe Wicks P.E at 9 am on YouTube!

Activity 1. Phonics
Warm up with flashcards and blending words.
Play a game of I Spy with a grown up.
I spy with my little eye something beginning with ____ (please say letter SOUNDS not names).
After a while you could have a go at segmenting all of the sounds in the word for the other to guess e.g c- u- p and the other person would say cup, t-'ai'-b-le, c-ar-p-e-t and so on.

Activity 2. Maths
Today I would like you to have a go at  making your own lunch.
Can you make yourself a sandwich? You need to scrape the butter across the bread and choose a filling to put inside your sandwich. Cut your sandwich in half with the knife.

Try making a fruit kebab in a pattern.

3. Writing
Think about a time when you have been on a journey.
Where did you go? How did you get there. What was it like? What could you see?
Write some simple sentences in your book using finger spaces, full stops and capital letters.
e.g I went to Spain with my mum and dad.
I went on an aeroplane. It was fast.

Extra Activity -
Miss Harvey has instructed me to tell you that there is a secret task on tapestry :s which she uploaded yesterday.

Remember to keep uploading your pictures to tapestry or email them to me.
Check the Reception blog out at the end of each day so you can see pictures of all your friends from school.
Have a lovely day!
