Hello Reception 23.4

Good Morning Reception,
I hope you are all well and feeling ready for another day of home learning.
Don't forget to upload lots of pictures so I can see what fun you've been having.
Have you been busy enjoying the sunshine. I spent lots of time working in the garden. Don't foget your sun cream!

P.E
Wake your self up with Joe Wicks PE on you tube or follow a cosmic kids yoga activity like you have done before.

Activity 1.
Listen to the story of The Train Ride again and begin to join in with the words.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOzEh-gmjuk&t=9s
Do you have a train track at home? If so use your train track to retell the story of the train ride in your own words. Try and remember what things are seen on the train ride.
Don't have a train track why don't you gather some chairs and make your own train and pretend you are going on the train ride.

Activity 2. Maths
Play this game by clicking on the link. Can you Finish the pattern.
http://resources.hwb.wales.gov.uk/VTC/simple_patterns/eng/Introduction/MainSession.htm
Create your own repeating pattern.

3. Reading
Read one of your books from your book bag. Parents could ask questions about the book to develop understanding. Who, what, what doing, why do you think? How do you know?
Practice your flashcards, blending words and tricky words. Can you use you your flashcards to make and read words. Are they real words or nonsense words?

Teddy Bears Picnic Performance.
Watch this performance of Teddy Bears Picnic.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfeMAc1T9Zs
Place a Teddy in your window so that other children can spot your teddy while they are out walking. Maybe when you are out on your walk you could go on a bear hunt too. I wonder how many you will find?

Please remember to upload all the things you've been doing on tapestry. Yesterday was a very quiet day I hope to have a few more pictures today.

I look forward to seeing all the lovely things you get up to.
Have fun!

Today's Reflection
Well done Reception I can see from your great posts today that you have been working really hard trying to complete the activities I have set for you.
There has been some great retelling of the train ride and some work around transport.
Lots of you have been creating your own patterns and completing some of the number worksheets from your home learning pack.

Here are some of the great things that you have been doing.
Kamil Callum and Phoebe retold The Train Ride using their own train tracks and other props from around their houses. I love this!!

And Lily wrote about what happened in the story.

Lots of you had been continuing to find and make different types of transport.

Lily wrote about a time when she had been on a journey.

Some more pattern work.

Here are some more fun things you have been doing to help your learning.

Kamil watched the teddy bears picnic performance and then placed teddies in his window for others to find on their walks.

Rocco conducted an experiment to find out which items float and sink.

Lily has been busy in the garden and making things.
