Tuesday 5th May

Good Morning Reception,
How are you today?
Thank you for all the lovely messages I received yesterday - it's lovely hearing from you.

Remember to upload pictures, comments to tapestry or email them to me if you are having trouble uploading at reception@ctk.education
We would like to hear from as many of you as possible so even if you just add a comment to my post so I know you are well it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all you hard work so far. The enthusiasm and time you are putting into the tasks has been absolutely brilliant!

Here are the tasks for today.

PE
It's time to wake up and shake those sillies out with this action song on YouTube.

Literacy
You could Read ‘The Naughty Bus’ on YouTube narrated by Mrs Harrison again if you wanted to.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJlLXoaglow

Can you design your own set of traffic lights. Traffic lights tell the cars and other traffic to stop. This helps control traffic and allows people to cross the roads safely!
You could use recyclable material, household objects or even draw/paint your traffic lights. Make them quite big!
Make sure your traffic lights have 3 colours! Can you remember what they are?
Red, amber and green?
What do each of these colours mean? Stop, get ready, go. On a sheet of paper write down what each colour means and place it next to each of the colours on your traffic lights.

Maths
One more one less - (We will do doubling tomorrow)
Day 2 - The hungry caterpillar - complete the activities.                  https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/early-years/
Create your own caterpillars using different amounts of blobs. If you add up to 5 more how many will you have. If you had up to 5 less how many would you have?

This caterpillar has a body of 10 blobs.
2 more = 12

3 less = 7 etc.

Creative/Skills
If the weather picks up a bit this afternoon. You could set up a car wash in the garden!
You could wash your bikes, scooters or you could even help mummy wash the car :)

You could even charge people to come to the car wash? 10p, 20p 50p how much will it cost?

Phonics

Lesson 7 but feel free to catch up on others if you have missed them.
Read a school book and talk about it.

Have a great day :)

Today's Reflection
Well done for another great day!
You have made some amazing traffic lights and learned what the different colours mean!
I have seen some excellent maths work finding more, less using the caterpillars you have made.

Here's what you have been up to today.

Some fantastic traffic lights from Kamil, Callum, Manna, Lily and Lianater!

Here is some of the maths work you have been doing finding more/less and patterns by Kamil, Lily, Rocco, Manna and Lianater.

Some fantastic phonics, reading and writing by Lianater, Manna Megan and Rocco.

Megan has been very busy baking and drawing and learning to roller skate.

Kamil and his big brother made a car wash outside and washed their bikes. This was great for the muscles in his hands and arms and now his bike looks good as new.

Lianater and Lily have been keeping fit by joining in with the daily exercise task.

Well done everybody!
I hope you have a lovely evening.
Be back in the morning for another day of home learning.
Miss Letherby
